Primary Location NSW - Wetherill ParkJob Description Summary Telecommunications Worker - Labourer will form part of the Field Delivery Team working as part of a team or as an individual contributor at times to Construct, Maintain & Decommission telecommunications networks.About the RoleNature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Wetherill Park, NSWReporting Line: State Field Delivery ManagerAbout the RoleService Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a number of skilled or unskilled labourers as Telecommunication workers to join our growing company.As part of this role if not already obtained, you will gain experience and competencies including but not limited to:
  • Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (Boom Length 11 Metres or More) [WP]
  • Working safely at Heights
  • Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
  • Implement traffic management plan
  • Provide First Aid
  • Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will be primarily responsible for Building, Maintaining, and Decommissioning Telecommunication Networks, including but not limited to Optus, Uecomm, NBN, Telstra, TPG, Telco Authorities and Power Utility. You will also be responsible for the following:
  • Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews daily
  • Working from ladders & EWP’s (Elevated Work Platform)
  • Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.
  • Willing and able to work away from home from time to time
  • Communicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor.
  • Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
  • Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).
