At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Trade Compliance Teams interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in automotive regulations and standards at the local, national, and international levels.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and legal departments, to address compliance issues and implement solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and industry associations to stay informed about regulatory developments and participate in industry initiatives.
  • Investigate compliance incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required.
What your background should look like:
  • Bachelor's degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field)
  • 6+ years' experience in global trade compliance - supporting trade functions within an industrial, communications, transportation, or similar business
  • Functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in Hungary and preferably other countries in the EMEA region
  • Functional knowledge of customs classification, including direct experience classifying products under the Harmonized Tariff System
  • Functional knowledge of export classification, familiarity with customs valuation (e.g. assists, transfer price adjustments)
  • Experience interfacing directly and effectively with government agency authorities
  • Advanced Excel and/or PowerBI skills are a plus
  • Proven ability to work with variety of business groups, including supply chain, legal, procurement and finance
  • Excellent organizational habits and priority management
  • Experience in post-entry/post-shipment audits and process audits in general
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English
