Trainee appointments are sought to support the ten Greater Manchester (GM) Local Authorities, plus Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). Across these organisations, we are looking to appoint two Trainee Project Managers.Your role and you:The successful candidate will be seconded full-time to either Rochdale Council, or TfGM and will be based at the respective organisation’s offices. The Programme is seeking individuals who will make a positive impact within the Place Based Directorships, particularly in Transport Planning and Strategy, Regeneration, Planning and Development Surveying, Economic Development, Building Control, Environmental Health, Housing and Housing Strategy, Climate Change, Delivery and Planning Policy.The Programme provides a rich experience; based around placements that will engage you in work that is core to the GM’s priorities. Twenty percent of your work hours will be dedicated to completing a long-term corresponding training course.Our wide range of services and the speed of change in local government mean that we need high calibre individuals who will thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
