- You will represent PartnerRe across Canada, playing a vital role in presenting its client offerings across all lines of business within the Life & Health division.
- Your position involves nurturing relationships with a mix of new and existing reinsurance partners, ensuring success, and fostering ongoing development as partnerships and businesses grow over time.
- Identify opportunities to provide solutions that meet clients' needs, contributing to new business growth and effective risk and capital management.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with clients as their reinsurance partner
- Effectively communicating customer needs, expectations, and limitations to the rest of the Canadian team
- Conducting primary research on clients and competitors
- Assisting the pricing team in the development and execution of client-specific strategies
- Fulfill organizational business development goals by organizing and participating in select client visits, events, and industry gatherings.
- Participating in quote reviews and final quote positioning with the client
- Serving on relevant committees as designated by the VP Business Development to maximize PartnerRe’s Canadian market presence, raise market awareness, and build relationships with clients by focusing on important emerging issues.
- You possess a high level of empathy, strong listening skills, and a genuine interest in connecting with people regularly.
- Utilize your technical skills to assist and help develop reinsurance solutions for the Canadian market. You are an excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex ideas effectively. You should be capable of working in an international and culturally diverse environment.
- You are a strong team player who also values and thrives in a high degree of autonomy.
- An Actuary (FCIA/FSA or ASA actively pursuing their fellowship) with at least 5 years of Life/Health insurance or reinsurance experience.
- Knowledge of mortality and/or morbidity risks, sales distribution, or product structures
- Working knowledge of regulations such as LICAT and IFRS 17
- Some Travel is required, mostly within Ontario and Quebec
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
