The Role:To support children and adults who engage in behaviours that challenge to maximise their quality of life and reduce behavioural challenges, via evidence-based behaviour-analytic casework. To assist staff and families/carers in increasing their confidence in supporting people presenting with behaviours that challenge. As part of the national Progressing Disability Services programme, a portion of this post will be allocated to a Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) when children’s services are reconfigured and CDNTs are operational.Requirements:· MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis (or equivalent).· Relevant experience in behaviour support roles, conducting functional living skills assessments, comprehensive functional behavioural assessments, and developing relatedinterventions for people presenting with behaviours that challenge.· Experience of providing behaviour support to adults with intellectual disability and/or autism.· Knowledge and experience of working within a Positive Behaviour Support model of practice.· Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle (mileage will be paid at the appropriate rate).· Significant work experience (3 years or more) in behaviour support roles· Current certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, or working towards certification· An understanding of models of Capable Environments, person-centred planning and, Supported Self-Directed Living (SSDL)Apply:Job Description are available to download on our internet site or contact HR on 091 540900.
