We believe in the power of content not just as a way of telling stories and touching lives, but also expanding worlds.The positionWe are looking for an Acquisitions & Partnerships Operations Coordinator to support our team in London. You will join the Acquisitions & Partnerships Operations (Content Acquisitions), reporting to the Team Lead. You will be processing content deals, pushing the boundaries of how we operate and how we use our huge content portfolio across our products and services, with an ability to learn and grow, in order to generate business value. This is a 9 month fixed term contract position and the selected candidate will be available to start as soon as possible.Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure efficient processing of content deals from the negotiation stage, internal approvals through to final signature.
  • Review & interpret deal information from deal memos or agreements (acquisitions, originals, pre-buys, sales etc) for input into the rights management database.
  • Validating details, clearing sales conflicts and escalating problems where necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments (buyers, programming, finance, legal, traffic etc.) to resolve various contract administration issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with necessary internal and external stakeholders (buyers, programming, finance, studios and content providers etc.).
  • Source information, prepare, review and analyze reports using various systems.
  • Take initiative and use insights to investigate areas that will help move the team and Viaplay forward.
  • Support projects and tasks in a variety of cross-functional areas.
What we are looking for
  • Have an understanding of the TV/VOD industry and the relevant linear/on-demand rights and have experience working with rights management/distribution systems.
  • Have strong analytical skills and solid experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and team collaboration platforms like JIRA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfort with working and partnering with people at all levels and across all functional areas.
  • Have sense of responsibility with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and willingness to pivot workflows as needed.
  • Possess exceptional motivation and drive to complete work in a timely manner and with quality, while proactively seeking solutions to any issues that arise.
  • Have strong technical aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Recognise opportunities with a proficient commercial understanding and attempt to capture them despite the risk of making mistakes.
  • Have proven communication skills; must be articulate and professional both in written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrate high level of organization, exercise good judgement and being able to work proactively, independently, reliably in a fast-paced environment.
