Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pmThis School has pupils aged 2-19 years which caters predominately for pupils with profound, severe and complex learning difficulties. An increasing proportion of pupils have autism and approximately 54% have additional needs associated with physical disabilities and medical conditions. All pupils have an EHCP or statement of special educational needs.We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to support students. Join the team on this rewarding journey of empowerment!We are looking for a calm, caring and highly motivated individual who is very understanding with challenging behaviour. Experience in a school environment is desirable but work experience that can be adapted is accepted.This Role includes:
- Supporting the teaching and learning of SEN pupils
- Working closely with pupils that display challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties
- Working in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants
- Full time is preferred but part time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
