Duration: 📆 Monday – Friday (Full-Time)The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • 🧩 Experience working with students with Autism and associated needs.
  • 🎓 Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Education, particularly Autism with high support needs and lower academic levels.
  • 🛠️ Ability to effectively manage pupil behaviour during lessons.
  • 💬 Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and students.
  • 🎓 QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • 🔒 An enhanced Child or Child & Adult barred list DBS certificate.
Role Overview:
  • 🎓 Teaching to a class of varying needs including varied types of communication (non-verbal & Physical).
  • 📚 Implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students, with a focus on Core Subjects.
  • 👥 Working closely with students, their parents/carers, and other members of staff to ensure students’ happiness and well-being.
  • 📝 Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students’ EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
  • 📊 Making appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils’ progress.
