- Providing leadership and support to a diverse team of trade personnel
- Hold statutory appointment as an Electrical HV Supervisor, High Voltage Operator and be able to assist with compliance on the team.
- Assist the with day-to-day allocation of work to the Electrical High Voltage Maintenance team, prioritizing the work based on adherence to the weekly schedule and unplanned work that is required to be completed due to operational requirements
- Scoping of work required for upcoming weekly plans including estimation of resource requirements, consulting with suppliers and OEMs for ordering of all the necessary parts and materials etc.
- Ensuring that all electrical high voltage maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe and coordinated manner, in compliance with site standards and procedures and the relevant Australian Standards and WA Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations, making sure that all work is conducted to a high standard.
- Ensuring all team members keep commitment to their obligations in SAP.
- Accountable for ensuring the statutory recording of electrical installations and other electrical work in the Electrical Logbook as required
- Encourage compliance to Zero Harm principles daily within the team
- Report and escalate incidents in a timely manner
- All BMS obligations and actions are completed within allotted time frame
- Ensure to set clear expectations and standards for the team.
- Driving a positive team safety culture.
- Managing the electrical team's day to day planned works and breakdowns.
- Maintaining electrical compliance within the fixed plant
- Driving safe systems of work within the team
- Working in conjunction with all maintenance teams on scheduled works
- At least 3 years as an experienced HV electrician/leader within the mining and minimum 5 years electrical experience in the mining industry
- High Voltage Switching certificate
- Previous experience with HV Switching and Network apparatus along with permitting and isolation procedures.
- Strong coaching, mentoring and team building skills to maintain a good team culture.
- Extensive knowledge of HV systems, fault finding and problem solving
- Ability to undertake quality risk assessments.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation of HV systems and equipment
- Statutory testing and inspections of HV equipment and cabling
- Preparing and executing high voltage switching programs and isolations
- Electrical grade A license
- Senior first aid
- Low voltage rescue and CPR
- WA Manual driver's license
