- Maintenance of Product Files
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues as they arrive.
- Generate and process purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with other departments in the business to assess and confirm purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Prepare and distribute purchasing reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Have excellent communication, written and verbal skills.
- Be comfortable negotiating prices and challenging suppliers.
- Be able to use Microsoft Excel to an Intermediate or Advanced Level.
- Be punctual.
- Be able to follow instructions from team member and managers.
- Be able to work well as part of a team.
- Be able to use your initiative and organise yourself and workload.
- Have a great attention to detail and accuracy particularly at the point of data input.
- Have some knowledge of SAP (DESIRABLE)
