We are currently looking for a dynamic Job Captain to join our Toronto practice to work with our high-rise residential and commercial projects.You'll have the opportunity to work with a fast-paced, driven team with a proven success record in both design and technical excellence! The successful candidate will ideally offer experience being involved in projects end to end along with strong production side experience (working drawings) - this will be imperative. You will have hands-on experience with detailed drawings, strong ability to project manage/coordinate along with strong interpersonal skills to further develop relationships with clients and other consultants. Furthermore, you will be someone who has a keen eye for detail, a strong critical thinker, and someone who enjoys tackling new challenges and opportunities. This role will also be involved in design development.We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive.   • Prepare working drawings with BIM (Revit) or AutoCAD for projects
  • Responsible for the creation of technical content including details to the highest standard of excellence while ensuring the design intent is consistently maintained throughout the project
  • You will work closely with the Project Manager and coordinate with other staff members as well as coordinating all aspects of the project with the Mechanical, Electrical and Structural and other consultants
  • Responsible coordinating and communication within the production team
  • Assist with resolving difficult operating tasks or drawing production problems
  • Keeping up to date on codes, construction practices, products, and technology
  • Work with Contract Administration Department in processing project Shop Drawings and administrative paperwork
QualificationsQualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or a University Degree in Architecture or current OAA member
  • Minimum 5+ years of related experience
  • Mid rise and High rise residential experience preferred
  • MUST have hands-on experience with AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset
  • MUST have high proficiency in developing architectural drawing packages and knowledgeable with detailing is expected
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and Ontario Building Systems is expected
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst simultaneously able to complete work and meet deadlines effectively
  • Site experience is an asset but not a necessity
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills
  • Strong project coordination experience and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • A great roll-up-your-sleeves attitude where no task is too big nor too small, great critical thinking skills with an ability to think outside the box and work with minimal supervision
