For over 40 years Chandler Macleod’s recruitment business has connected leading-edge projects and employers with outstanding business professionals.Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Junior Project Manager/Project SpecialistLocation: Canberra, ACTContract Length: Start – ASAP, End – 30/06/2024, with option to extend up to 12 monthsEligibility/Security Requirement: Applicants must have Baseline Security ClearanceDivision Responsibilities:The Home and Residential Division is responsible for providing aged care to senior Australians in the setting that suits their needs and preferences. It is responsible for the reform work to improve aged care services at home and in residential care. This includes:

the design, development and implementation of a new in-home aged care program which will replace the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Home Care Packages, Short Term Restorative Care and Residential Respite
implementation of the Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model for residential care
commissioning a new single assessment workforce
development, implementation, and the management of efficient, effective and sustainable funding programs for home and residential care
data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies.

Role DescriptionWe are looking for a junior Project Manager / Project Specialist who will work in a dynamic and fast paced environment for the Support at Home ICT enablement.Key Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers in day-to-day delivery, ensuring project team completes deliverables on time and quality and are achieving agreed outcomes.
Support Project Managers with project analysis to support decision making and planning, including research and contribution to the preparation of project briefs.
Support Project Director in business case and costings development, and other ad hoc tasks as directed.
Coordinate and contribute to project change request processes.
Provide ongoing operational support including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with various internal and external stakeholders as needed to drive outcomes.
Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, and practices to ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology.
Assist in the coordination of Department of Finance Gateway Review process, providing independent assurance and advice in reporting on the delivery and implementation of projects.

Key Capabilities:

An understanding of an ICT environment, SDLC and agile methodology.
Ability to plan/manage activities and deliver outcomes within established project timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve results to meet program objectives within tight timeframes.
Ability to Collaborate with relevant stakeholders as needed.
An understanding of risk management practices and how to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Demonstrate the capacity to adjust to changing factors, conditions, and environments.
