- Lead and supervise the medical billing team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize billing processes, streamline workflows, and maximize revenue collections.
- Oversee the timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies, government payers, and other third-party payers.
- Monitor billing performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including revenue cycle management, finance, and clinical departments, to resolve billing-related challenges and promote operational excellence.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and payer policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews to ensure the integrity and accuracy of billing data and documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management to communicate billing performance, trends, and recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience or more in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare finance, with at least 5 years or more in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and achieving measurable results in revenue cycle optimization.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, physicians, and frontline staff.
- Must have an experience managing a healthcare account.
