Our client is a well-known NGO located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. With a nationwide reputation, our client is embarking on a large-scale initiative over the next few months and needs some support. As our client is constantly in the centre of media, this organization brings real experience to recent graduates and students. Due to an increase in recent workflow, we are looking for someone eager for part-time work on a short-term contract, while building experience and joining a great team on-site. We have an immediate opening for a part-time, service-oriented job seeker looking for part-time work leading up to the holidays.The role of a Member Service Associate (MSA) is to support the manager and organization in responding to a high volume of calls and emails. Working with an established and structured group, we are looking for someone customer service oriented to speak with members, donors, and the general public in a timely and professional manner. The MSA will be expected to respond to inquiries by leveraging the procedures and details provided and help compose routine email templates. While working within a larger team, this role will require you to be self-driven work independently, and manage a high volume of work. The MSA will be responsible for tracking and elevating any issues or concerns and maintaining current information within the donor database. We are looking for someone who can provide some clerical support, you will bring your attention to detail and excellent ability to draft correspondence and respond to phone questions to help with work overflow.The ideal candidate may be a student or someone only looking for work but has availability during core work hours. We are looking for someone who is looking to go on-site 3 days/week and prides themselves on delivering an excellent client experience. You will have experience dealing with clients on the phone and email, and you will be comfortable working with scripted responses to help support you. Any call centre experience would be considered an asset and bilingualism in English & French would be highly desirable. The right candidate for this role will bring a professional attitude, and service-oriented approach to their work. Your stellar communication skills, oral and written, will be utilized, and sound judgment and initiative will be expected. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your experience as a team player, but an independent worker. It is a great resume builder to gain experience and see the inner workings of a fascinating organization. You will bring computer proficiency and adaptability to new platforms and applications and know how to troubleshoot problems and when to escalate them. This 2-month contract is perfect for someone looking for additional income leading up to the holidays, but you must be available to work on-site during core business hours and have some flexibility.What Will Make You Stand Out:
