- Lead the development and implementation of health information technology strategies to enhance clinical operations, streamline workflows, and improve patient care outcomes, including reduction in health disparities.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, clinical staff, and information technology teams to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the adoption and optimization of clinical information systems, ensuring that they support best clinical practices and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Provide guidance and support to medical staff in the effective use of clinical information systems to enhance patient care delivery.
- Monitor and assess the performance of health information technology systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Serve as an organizational resource for emerging trends and best practices in health informatics and technology to inform strategic decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent), Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a minimum of five (5) years clinical experience after training is required.
- Formal experience in clinical informatics and/or informatics; Board Certification is preferred but not required.
- Current (or eligible for) professional license by the applicable State Board to practice in the State of Minnesota.
- Board certified/eligible in an ABMS recognized specialty and clinical informatics thorough the ABPM (if a physician).
- Appropriate Board Certification for PA-C or APRN.
- If applicable, must hold or be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota.
