Risk Intern

• Investigate user complaints related to fraud cases (e.g., ATO, phishing, scams).
• Handle 3rd party reports (bank disputes, police inquiries).
• Manage special fraud cases, providing investigation reports.
• Provide analysis for ad hoc tasks related to fraud cases.
• Provide analysis and support for ad hoc tasks related to fraud cases, which may include data analysis, trend identification, and process improvement initiatives. This involves leveraging data analytics tools and methodologies to extract insights, develop recommendations, and implement proactive measures to enhance fraud detection and prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Customer Support, Legal, and Product Management to address fraud-related issues, streamline processes, and implement effective solutions. This includes participating in cross-functional meetings, sharing insights and best practices, and contributing to the overall risk management framework of the organization.
• Assist in the development and implementation of fraud prevention strategies, including the deployment of fraud detection tools, the enhancement of security protocols, and the establishment of risk mitigation measures. This may involve working closely with technology teams to integrate fraud prevention mechanisms into existing systems and processes.

• Technical proficiency, including basic knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) or willingness to learn, to extract and manipulate data from databases for analysis and reporting purposes.

• Commitment to a 6-month internship.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights to mitigate fraud risks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive information and conducting investigations into fraud cases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Ethical and professional conduct, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Educational background or coursework in fields such as finance, business, economics, criminology, or related disciplines is preferred but not required.
