Policy and Procedure Development:
  • Design and implement process flow and transaction-based documentation for the finance department.
  • Prepare policy documents for management approval and ensure implementation.
  • Report deviations from approved policies to management for corrective action.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare detailed monthly management information system (MIS) reports.
  • Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entries and P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
  • Manage corporate accounts for parent/holding companies and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and review monthly reporting, schedules, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with other reports as needed by the internal finance team.
Vessel Accounting:
  • Manage vessel OPEX (Operating Cost) Management reporting.
  • Review and process payments for all vessels and relevant notifications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for accounting/reporting matters.
  • Ensure accounting reports for clients are prepared and reviewed within agreed deadlines.
  • Explain running cost variances to other departments.
  • Oversee invoice posting, payment of purchase invoices, and creditors in compliance with the Company's payment policy.
Regional Finance Management:
  • Manage and oversee finance for regional offices.
  • Ensure regional office compliance with laws and regulations.
Payroll Management:
  • Design tax-efficient structures for employees and compute tax requirements and deductions.
  • Prepare monthly payroll sheets and statutory returns.
  • Verify all payroll records and payments.
General and HR Management:
  • Build effective relationships within the team and affiliate offices.
  • Assist with various projects and ad hoc activities directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Managing Director.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an offshore and marine operations-related company, preferably in Ship Management.
  • A degree or professional qualification in Accountancy, ACCA, or CPA.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Finance Manager in the maritime and ship management industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Experience managing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
