Company Overview: My Client is a reputable engineering firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions for municipal infrastructure projects. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and motivated Municipal Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join their team.Position Overview: The Municipal Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of various municipal infrastructure projects, including water supply systems, wastewater treatment facilities, stormwater management systems, and more. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for improving public infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage municipal engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering analyses to support project planning and design decisions.
  • Prepare engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and contract documents in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals for project implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct field inspections and construction oversight to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, surveyors, and environmental scientists to integrate engineering solutions into comprehensive project designs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
  • Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure systems, regulations, and design standards.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
