Resumes must be in DD/MMM/YYYY format.The Human Effectiveness Directorate of the 711th Human Performance Wing within the Air Force Research Laboratory (711 HPW/RH) seeks to hire a division chief for the Warfighter Interactions & Readiness Division (RHW), DR-04, at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.Position Duties include; but are not limited to:Manages a multidisciplinary team consisting of military, government civilian, and contractor personnel providing science and leading-edge technology. This requires enabling and promoting enterprise collaboration to develop integrated technologies and solutions to deliver revolutionary capabilities that enhance preparation and mission execution across the full range of military operations. RHW is a 360-person research and development organization that is focused on the cognitive aspect of the mission, working to ensure decision superiority.Leads research and development involving the application of human systems integration, psychology, human-machine teaming, human and machine learning, computer science, and systems and cognitive engineering disciplines. This includes planning and implementation of digital engineering solutions in harmony with AF and DoD digital engineering guidance.Assesses quality, scientific and engineering merit of numerous highly complex, technical, and scientific programs and aims for constant improvement of the portfolio. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs research, development, engineering, and test programs. Organizes and guides multidisciplinary science and engineering teams to guarantee the most competent solution of research and engineering problems of outstanding difficulty.Provides scientific and technical analysis and recommended solutions to problems anticipated with new aerospace systems and existing challenges focused on the human as part of the mission/system. Consultant to national and international agencies in the development and utilization of human system interfaces, and training and readiness technologies.Directs work through mid-level and first-level subordinate supervisors. Exercises final authority for full range of personnel actions and organization design proposals recommended by subordinate supervisors. For employees within the Laboratory Demonstration Project, assesses contribution, participates in pay pool meetings, provides effective feedback, as well as classifies positions. Maintains discipline, interviews candidates, approves appointments, promotions, and reassignments, regularly mentors and proactively promotes career development and training for each employee, initiates and/or approves other personnel actions. Evaluates supervisory qualities and provides feedback to subordinate supervisors and ensures required training is completed.
