Job Title: Electrical MEP Engineer
Location: Edwardsville, Illinois
Pay: Base Salary between $50,000 - $90,000 (negotiable) plus bonuses

  • Experience:
  • Currently licensed in Illinois or graduated from an IL accredited school in order to obtain a future license; other state licenses are acceptable as long as an IL license can be obtained.
  • Proficient in designing lighting and electrical layouts for buildings using AutoCAD (Required), with Revit experience being a plus.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (Required) from a US University.
  • Work Authorization:
  • United States (Required).
Responsibilities: As an Electrical MEP Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing designs of lighting, security products, electrical, and data building design, independently for smaller/less technical projects; supervision of senior engineer for complex projects.
  • Preparing CAD and/or REVIT production drawings of Electrical systems from schematic to construction design phases, with the support of dedicated technical staff as needed.
  • Preparing and editing specifications relating to existing or new projects.
  • Specifying products and manufacturers.
  • Reviewing submittals and shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents. Participating or leading value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team.
About Your Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (Electrical Systems focus).
  • Illinois PE licensed or can obtain one upon hire or upon meeting a 4-year training requirement.
  • Familiarity with Revit.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Site visits frequently require a physical walkthrough of the site and may be done independently.
