These are the things that bring us together as associates and set us apart from other logistics companies.Join us as anOperations IT Support EngineerYour role in a nutshell:In this role you will deliver (on site) IT support to all Service Logistics staff members located within the Budapest Office. You will provide fast and effective support to users experiencing network connectivity, basic hardware and software issues. You will work together with the DHL IT service desk and IT resolver groups to resolve more complex issues. Part of the role is to update and maintain our supporting SharePoint sites and knowledge base.This role is for anyone who has an interest in internal IT support and would like to be involved in the behind the scenes processes to support the business and IT processes.Main tasks and key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for local IT support on end-user devices (desktop, laptop, printers,…) and on connectivity to Local network and home office.
  • Deliver IT support according to agreed procedures and work instructions, and aim for continuous improvements of those.
  • Responsible for keeping track of IT assets and ensure information on those is kept up to date on our Sharepoint sites. Monitor the inventory of unused assets and take care of safe storage.
  • Create strong relationships with the regional Service Management team to ensure maximum leverage of resources / solutions to support local requirements
  • Work closely together with the first line support team (FLS), the DHL IT service desk and resolver groups for solving complex IT issues.
  • Act as 1st contact for improvement suggestions from Budapest staff - starting point to collect requirements and discuss within IT Service management team on potential solutions.
  • Escalation management - including communication - in close cooperation with Service management and the FLS team.
What you will bring to the team:
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to learn, seek knowledge and self-development
  • Knowing about the basic of IT process management (Incident Management preferred)
  • Relevant working experience in the logistics industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Windows operating systems, MS office and remote connection systems.
  • Having good analytical and problem-solving skills and high-level interpersonal skills
  • ITIL certification is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player
  • Self-motivation and excellent time keeping
  • Strong analytical thinking and high problem-solving skills
