Key AccountabilitiesProcess/standards awareness
  • Communicate and involve stakeholders to respond to any current accounts related incidents as the first touchpoint for Business, Fraud Control Securities and Services (FCSS), Operation team and other stakeholders
  • Ensure processes adherence by the team members.
  • Provides adequate support for Audit / inspections and ensure that there are no significant findings through constant dialogue.
  • Circulation of daily dashboards and other frequency-based reporting within team and other stakeholders.
  • Regular training of the team on change in processes, regulations.
  • Ensure to raise unusual activities for deserving cases.
  • Ensure all trainings are completed by team members on timely basis.
Adherence to processes & standards
  • Documentation of processes with respect to current account opening, due diligence, reporting etc.
  • Actively engage internal stakeholders throughout the business to ensure that remediation plans are implemented on time and to the necessary standard.
  • Escalation and reporting of cases which are breaching SLA for resolution, adherence of regulatory requirements
  • Carry out and share the Root Cause Analysis of errors, breaches etc.
  • Ensure in spirit & word implementation and execution of internal & regulatory code of conduct and business ethics, clean desk, information security, internet usage, email usage etc.
  • Ensure to meet agreed Timeliness with respect to processes.
  • Creation of backups in team for maintain work life balances.
  • Ensure circulation of various dashboards in line with country and Group requirements.
  • Conducting UAT and sharing findings with stakeholders and ensuring desired requirements are implemented.
Regulatory compliance and assessment
  • Ensure adherence to all AMLKYC guidelines in unit
  • Reporting of breach of regulatory / controls standards.
  • Timely reporting of regulatory requirements.
Job Duties & responsibilities
  • Track adherence to Regulatory and Ops risk guidelines for Current Accounts
  • Support UORM in managing the Operational Risk Landscape
  • Support UORM in ensuring the Ops Risk and Governance framework in complied
  • Integrate the Ops Risk, Regulatory Risk, Governance framework across the branches network
  • Review and ensure approvals are obtained for deviations from corporate operational risk policies and standards
  • Co-ordinate audit and regulatory inspections
  • Analyzing and reporting operational risk events, loss trends and root cause to CBG (Consumer Banking Group) / Support Unit management and relevant risk and control committees
  • Proactively identify potential risk areas and propose changes to further control and enhance effectiveness of processes.
  • Work closely with the FCSS and Ops teams to understand threats and develop mitigants.
  • Communicate and involve stakeholders to respond to any current accounts related incidents as the first touchpoint for Business, Fraud Control Securities and Services (FCSS), Operation team and other stakeholders
  • Reporting of breach of regulatory / controls standards.
  • Facilitate NPA review and approval process for CBG products within the Country and Regional stakeholders
  • Identification and running of theme-based reviews of the processes from Controls perspective
  • Identify/update the scope of RCSA to be completed for CBG India across all Products
  • Plan and implement the RCSA program across all areas within CBG
  • Provide guidance on identifying and assessing inherent/net/residual risks and aligned internal controls
  • Validate RCSA against actual risk event losses, KRI trends, audit and regulatory inspections
  • Identification of Legal and Compliance risks, mitigants and residual risks in co-ordination with the business & operations teams and facilitate the process of risk acceptance
  • Co-ordinate with Legal and Compliance teams for necessary Regulatory compliance and communications. Represent CBG at the Country RGG
  • Facilitate the business and operations team in establishing the risk framework for CBG and ensuring timely closures
  • On ORR, Co-ordinate with local and regional stakeholders for impact assessment, site visits, ORR documentation and facilitate the sign-off process for the onboarding Eco partners
  • Process governance including documentation of process maps, NPA and ORR documentation. Also includes audit co-ordination and reporting the project status to stakeholders.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 07 – 12 years’ experience in banking, first line of defense (FLOD), continuous audits and process controls
  • Intensive knowledge of Indian banking and regulatory guidelines
  • Equipped with knowledge of Liability Products like CASA, Locker, TD.
  • Experience of multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and independently having senior level interactions.
Education / Preferred QualificationGraduate from a Recognized instituteCore Competencies
  • Prior exposure to process writing, controls and governance.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Analytical skills
Technical Competencies
  • Understand of Operational risk tools
  • Strong knowledge of Presentation and data set creations
Work Relationship
  • Will be working across verticals and liasioning with multiple stakeholders.
  • Will be reporting into Team Lead CBG BU Operational Risk Unit
