Our client seeks a Senior Accounts Administrator to join their team. Role Profile:To provide accounting support internally to management accountants and external suppliers where necessary.To process large amounts of data for the group & ensure prompt payment to suppliers on a monthly basis.To ensure timely reconciliations of retail bankings and cash receipts are completed.Monitor the operations teams' compliance with accounting procedures (e.g. cash bankings) and follow up on differences or departures from procedure.Assist with the month end management accounting process. Key Responsibilities:Invoices posted to correct cost centres daily.Ensure POs are raised where required before processing invoices.Investigating queries with suppliers.Debit balance investigations.Liaising with IOM & UK staff on Purchase orders & Invoice queries.Aged account payables is kept up to date & accurateProcessing direct debit payments onto supplier account.Liaising with suppliers to ensure the month end payment run is finalised accurately & in a timely manner.Investigate any outstanding balances on company statements.Posting of sales ledger receipts daily and allocation against ledger entries.Upload of weekly taking sheets.Raising sales invoices where necessary.Weekly bank reconciliations and distribution of unpresented items.Update the daily cash banking reconciliation.Flag and investigate differences.Liaise with the pub operations team to ensure banking procedures are adhered to.Assist with month end management accounts.Prepare and post standard month end journals.Assist with month end balance sheet reconciliations.Liaise with the operations team and follow up on unexpected differences.Collate and distribute the Group weekly sales report.Company specific tasks i.e. payment of NI/ITIP/AOE, payment of Duty. Key Skills and Experience:Ideally a good standard of general education (e.g. GCSE grades c or above and/or equivalent qualifications).Ideally a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience gained in a similar environment.Accounts Processing / Bookkeeping experience.Part qualified in CAT, or equivalent.An awareness of customer service principles and practices.Good communicator, verbal and written, with good telephone manner.Excellent keyboard skills and a practical knowledge of Excel.A confident communicator, both in spoken and written word.Be able to manage internal & external relationships across suppliers.Calm, confident and professional manner when dealing with difficult suppliers.Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.Able to maintain a high quality and high volume of work during busy periods.A high degree of personal integrity and respect for confidentiality.Tactful, diplomatic and able to operate in a fast-moving and often reactive environment.Able to work under own initiative and prioritise work effectively.Versatile, resilient and adaptable to changing situations.High degree of flexibility and willingness to help others in a team environment.A high standard of professional ethics, able to represent the accounts team & company, leading by example.
