Our client requires a Collections Advisor, your responsibilities will include, communicate with customers by telephone and face o face to discuss outstanding debts with the company, arrange visits with customer (including individual and commercial) to agree ways of payment and/or agree a repayments plan within specified guidelines, provide advice and guidance to customers on the most appropriate methods of payment, produce standard template letters to customers who are in arrears with their bills, update customer information on the computer system daily, assess situations with a view to cutting off gas supply to customers as a last resort, provide support to our vulnerable customers, record accurate meter reading into electronic devices, empty and set coin metered gas installations , compile and accurately record daily takings from customers in order to produce daily statistics, produce monthly statistics information on number of visits, disconnections and reconnections , identify possibilities performance and productivity improvements, liaise with meter readers and other departments, submit relevant documents to the Courts in respect of bas debts, liaise with the coroners office. Minimum Requirements, experience in customer service role, experience having difficult conversations, experience with cash handling and the taking of payments, good IT skills including using Microsoft Suite, experience in producing Excel reports, skills in negotiation and problem solving , resilience and ability to work under pressure to tight timescales.The JobCentre takes steps to monitor the accuracy and legality of all vacancies placed on our website, however the JobCentre cannot accept any responsibility or liability for the content of vacancies which employers place with us.
