A caring and respectful manner with young children is paramount.DutiesThe early childhood teacher will work with children as a co-lead teacher in a preschool classroom. The teaching team is responsible for the managing the daily operations of an early childhood classroom. The teaching team is responsible for planning and executing a develpmentally appropriate plan based on the school's curriculum and the CT ELDS. The teaching team is also responsible for authentic assessment of the children in their care. The school curriculum is based on a cycle of inquiry utilizing the Project Approach and The Storybook Journey. Minimum of an Associate's degree in education
Experience in an early childhood or kindergarten classroom
A desire to continue learning through professional development
Strong oral and written communication skills
Skills including digital apps like Google Drive and Docs
Familiarity with the CT ELDS and CT DOTS is a plus, as is experience in an NAEYC accredited program.
