Chief Accountant

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management review.

• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate and manage annual financial audits and tax filings.

• Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities to optimize liquidity and maximize returns.

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.

• Conduct regular financial analysis to evaluate performance against budget and provide insights to management.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on construction / engineering industry accounting.

• Fluency in Arabic and English languages, both written and spoken.

• Knowledge of Kuwaiti accounting standards and regulations is preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
