Are you a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker looking for a new opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults in West Berkshire?Join our Adult Social Care Service at West Berkshire Council and play a vital role in providing high-quality support and intervention to individuals in need.As a Social Worker, you will report to the Team Leader and be responsible for:
  • Conducting assessments and reviews to determine the care and support needs of service users
  • Developing and implementing care plans, ensuring they are person
  • -centered and promote independence
  • Providing advice, guidance, and support to service users and their families
  • Collaborating with multi
  • -disciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate effective care provision
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (e.g. SWE)
  • Experience in adult social care, preferably within a local authority setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with service users, families, and stakeholders
  • Resilience and the ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced environment
