- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of SEN students.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and communication needs.
- Collaborate with SEN colleagues, parents, and external agencies to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Use ongoing assessment to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility, patience, and resilience in adapting to the changing needs of SEN students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to participate in relevant training opportunities.
