- Develop customer relationships.
- Pursue new sales opportunities.
- Maintain customer inventory levels and handle VMI responsibilities for key clients.
- Promptly and efficiently process orders and quotes according to protocol, including for walk-in (over-the-counter) customers.
- Assemble hydraulic hose assemblies to customer specifications.
- Promptly answer and respond to incoming phone calls from customers and vendors.
- Seek to understand customer relationships in order to recognize, and take advantage of, opportunities to grow the business, while improving internal processes at TMO/Parker Stores.
- Maintain customer accounts and efficiently process customer and vendor returns and credits.
- Manage area as an entrepreneur, with complete knowledge of how decisions are made and implemented and how they impact efficiency and the bottom line.
- Assisting with all other office duties as required.
- Participate in activities as requested with the VMI Manager and VMI associates in other locations.
- Three years of related experience in industrial sales or customer service.
- Proven track record of Business to Business sales is preferred
- Knowledge of or experience with hydraulic components with a mechanical background is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Comfortable and willing to drive in all types of weather.
- Competency with Microsoft Office software.
