- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and preferably hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) or be willing to work towards it.
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ideally within a school setting.
- Excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
- Ability to effectively assess, plan, and implement interventions to support the individual needs of students.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality within the school community.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of students and respond to changing priorities.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of best practices in SEN provision.
