Communications Specialist - Internal

• The Communications Specialist will support the PR and Corporate Communication Manager in developing and executing internal communication strategies and content that will inform, engage, and inspire employees across the company. Working on various projects and formats such as events and campaigns, the Specialist is expected to deliver consistent and impactful messages that align with the company's purpose, values, and goals. The Specialist will also help measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.

• Exceptional and versatile writing skills
• Strong verbal and presentation skills
• With experience in handling internal communications
• Adept in digital platforms and trends, and can identify how these can be leveraged for the company’s various communication requirements
• Proactive and collaborative
• Can take ownership of assigned projects, multi-task, and re-prioritize as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Experience in public relations and corporate communications

• Internal Communication

• Produce and distribute high-quality and timely internal communication content for various channels such as executive memos, videos, events, and more
• Ensure the content is clear, concise, accurate, and aligned with the company's brand and tone of voice
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather input, create relevant campaigns, and ensure alignment and consistency of messages across the organization
• Assess data such as employee survey results and apply insights to communication materials as appropriate
• Stay abreast on best practices and trends in internal communication and employee engagement
• Prepare entries to relevant award-giving bodies
• Culture Change

• Work closely the Client Experience team in designing and mounting effective campaigns promoting client-centricity to employees nationwide
• Employer Branding

• Ideate and create campaigns to strengthen Sun Life’s position as a preferred employer for high-quality talents
• Collaborate with internal partners (HR-Recruitment, Digital Marketing & Advertising) and external partners (employment platforms such as Jobstreet and Linkedin, among others) in executing the campaigns
• Review communication materials crafted by external partners to ensure that these adhere to the company’s tone and voice
• Crisis Handling

• In the event of a crisis, prepare necessary communications materials such as advisories, and FAQs to ensure that employees are well-informed employees
• Collaborate with the Media Relations team as needed
• Marketing

• Collaborate with relevant teams within Marketing for campaigns and narratives to align messaging for employees
