Residential ChildcareJoining our Residential Childcare team means you will lead a shift team working in a high-quality Home in Crewe, Cheshire.Your daily activities will include:
  • Delegating and overseeing the daily tasks required to execute care plans related to health, nutrition and hygiene, education, work experience and engaging activities.
  • Identifying staff needs through one-to-one supervision and daily teamwork, developing skills, providing training and delivering performance management feedback to individuals to enable them to achieve goals.
  • Supporting the management team who are available five working days per week and providing cover during absences from home by continuing to live the Home ethos.

  • Salary range: £29,250 to £30,600
  • Working pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off(10 shifts per month, 150 hours per month and 14 days annual leave)

About Homes for Support:We are a strong and well-structured team of care professionals providing residential care to young people ages 16 to 18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning disabilities. To give you the best possible experience as a team member, our semi-independent group and solo-living Homes are close to our Head Office and in-house Training venue in Crewe, Cheshire.Ready to apply?To be a successful Team Leader, you should:
  • Hold a full clean driving licence
  • Be able to lead, supervise and motivate a team of Residential Children's Workers in line with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in continuous professional development including mandatory and enhanced training and development
SafeguardingAs part of our commitment to safeguard you, our team and Children and Young People, we conduct Safer Recruitment Processes, including:
  • Telephone introductions with a member of the HR team (Alice and Sarah)
  • Face-to-face interviews at our Head Office in Crewe with a Manager and one other experienced team member
  • Pre-employment processes including obtaining an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) certificate, driving licence certification checks, at least two references and UK Right to Work Checks
Our pre-employment process duration varies and depends on third parties such as the Disclosure and Barring Service. We will agree your start date will be upon completion of satisfactory safeguarding processes.We care for Children and Young People ages 8 and 18 in residential homes in Cheshire and support families in the community of Cheshire and surrounding areas. Our services include Therapeutic Children's Homes, Supported Living accommodation and Community Outreach work. Our work focuses on Children and Young People with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties, vulnerable families and unaccompanied asylum seeker children.
