This includes requesting hedges, and managing and maintaining the Net Open Position summaries for all foreign exchange exposure, ensuring there is minimum exposure at all times.We deal in multiple currencies, with many currency bank accounts, including USD / €uro as well as other currencies. Some of our main clients are billed in one currency and our suppliers are paid in another, so we need our FX Manager to excel in currency analysis and reconciliations.Key ResponsibilitiesAs our FX Manager, you will be required to raise hedges as and when required for all clients. You will ensure consistency of the process across all brands and you will be required to provide Net Open Position (NOP) analysis for each Brand and expand analysis down to client invoice and payable level of all transactions that expose us to foreign exchange risk.In addition, you will develop close relationships with the client teams in each business to understand how the clients operations which will include
- Client billing timetable
- Supplier payment schedule (3rd party and intercompany)
- Credit notes/cancellations (upon client request)
- Strong Excel knowledge is essential, as a minimum, you must be able to use:
- formulas
- Vlookups
- SUMIF's
- Pivot tables
- Treasury knowledge & experience is a bonus - however, this is not a traditional treasury role but more analysis of FX and reconciliations
- Experience with SAP and Media billing systems would be beneficial.
- Experience working with non-financial people in order to explain variances.
- Previous experience working in a Media company is an advantage
- Degree educated or equivalent ideally in Finance/ Accounting
