Handle are delighted to be partnering with a global force in Music in their search for a senior FP&A Manager to join their dynamic London team.This role will integrate sharp financial insights into strategic decision-making, own the planning and forecasting cycle, and drive data-driven decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the financial success of our projects and make a significant impact on our business.Key Responsibilities.
  • Build strong relationships with Product Managers, A&R, Legal, and Royalties teams. Provide insights to control costs and maximize profits for key releases.
  • Offer financial insights to explain P&L performances and influence decision-making.
  • Oversee financial management and reporting for BMG's UK frontline releases, covering three legal entities.
  • Work closely with creative teams to forecast key release projects and understand budget variances.
  • Build relationships with product managers, challenge decisions, highlight variances, and communicate value-adding ideas.
  • Produce regular reports on key releases for senior management at UK and Group levels.
  • Interpret, explain, and drive business performance.
  • Identify trends and budget variances, generate month-end reports, and provide commentary for senior staff.
  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range projections based on actuals and industry trends.
  • Develop scenario planning capabilities to test strategic, tactical, and operational decisions.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of revenue and costs for BMG's Frontline Masters business.
  • Produce accurate monthly P&L reports using SAP for frontline management.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet balances, including artist ledger, royalty, and copyright accruals and prepayments.
  • Manage direct reports by providing feedback, allocating tasks, and enhancing workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Oversee, review, and sign off on direct reports' work.
Your Profile.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with significant post qualified experience of FP&A, Business Partnering and month end reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with finance and non finance teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to read P&L and be able to pick out key variances.
  • Experience of working with royalties, recoupment and advances.
  • Team Player.
  • Ability to coach and work with more junior members of the team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Service orientated and takes pride in customer/in house clients service.
  • Approachable and able to build rapport with wider business.
  • Critical thinker and driven to get under the root cause of the problem and issues.
  • Ambitious and motivated.

  • Previous experience working in a similar role with the Music Industry.
  • Experience of working with SAP and database systems such as Power BI.
