With a focus on targeting future colleagues, join our dynamic team and contribute to our prestigious institution as we continue to stand out in the market of international education.Job DescriptionThe Lab Technician supports the Head of Science and science teaching team by providing technical assistance, contributing to students' learning experiences through the preparation of materials and apparatus for practical work.

Prepare laboratory equipment and resources for practical work, as requested by teachers. This includes but is not limited to: making up solutions, assembling, constructing and modifying apparatus, trialing practical activities.
Monitoring and reporting of stock levels: maintain a computerized inventory and ensure that it is kept up to date, taking into account quantities, expiry dates etc.
Ensure delivery of laboratory equipment and resources to the correct laboratory at the correct time, as well as its removal and re-storage.
Submit purchase requisitions for the experimental needs of the teachers, in terms of small items for experiments.
Advise teaching staff on safety issues in their choice of materials for practical work, especially as required by local Health and Safety (H&S) law.
Carry out Health and Safety and maintenance checks on laboratories, prep rooms and stores.

Relevant previous experience and familiarity with handling chemicals and scientific equipment are beneficial
