Leading a team of skilled professionals, you will orchestrate the daily accounting operations, optimize cost management strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role demands a professional with strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to driving financial efficiency and compliance within the retail sector.Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise daily accounting operations, including month-end closing processes, general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects
Establish and maintain a robust business process framework for cost accounting, conducting process assessments and implementing automation solutions ( e.g EDI )
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and provide insights on potential tax implications
Monitor and reconcile company’s Valuation and Warehouse book
Develop and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Proven working experience of at least 3 years in cost accounting or related field
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Class A professional ID will be considered as an asset
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases, with the ability to handle large amounts of data effectively
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

Desirable Qualifications:

SAP knowledge.
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
Previous experience with Retail company
