General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Multi‐Skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrically Bias to join our Facility Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £23,600 to £32,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders, to provide first line maintenance response to all breakdowns within the fastest possible time, minimising any a disturbance to operations.If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:
  • To ensure all work is carried out safely within current health, safety, environmental legislative Standards and company procedures.
  • Respond to breakdowns within a number of different environments, including industrial, offices and electronic laboratories, aiming to ensure facilities are available for use, minimising downtime and disturbance to operations.
  • Effective trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of equipment and systems such as overhead cranes, compressors, extraction systems, roller shutter doors, breathable air equipment, spraying booth, access control, intruder alarms, lifting systems, air conditioning and ventilation systems, building management systems. Site services include electrical distribution, compressed air and water systems including domestic, fowl and hydrant distribution.
To apply for this role, you will require the following:
  • Maintenance technician experience in an industrial environment is absolutely key.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems
  • Able to work efficiently with Microsoft Office based software
  • PLC, BMS and systems fault finding
  • Operation of mobile access equipment
  • Full driving licence
