Job Description:The Key areas of focus will be to:
  • Build and develop a profitable and sustainable portfolio of international casualty risks out of London.
  • Produce, negotiate, underwrite and manage casualty (re)insurance international programs of Large Corporate Risks
  • Contribute to the development and quality of the portfolio in accordance with the underwriting policy.
  • Build and Manage Broker relationships in the London Market and work on specifics / ad-hoc projects
Responsibilities:The key areas of responsibility will be to:
  • Market SBS capabilities and products to the Corporate Risk Managers and Brokers in the London Market.
  • Underwrite Corporate Accounts and build up a profitable portfolio of International Casualty, out of London.
  • Report on accounts and marketing activity,
  • Supervise the administration of OMEGA back-office tool (in liaison with the admin assistants) in relation to new or existing accounts, and completion of other SBS tools eg Forewriter, pricing, Salesforce etc. -
  • Produce marketing materials and intelligence documentation based on research and analysis of both the portfolio results and the market data.
  • Underwrite, build, and maintain a profitable portfolio of international casualty and identify area of growth.
  • Respond to all offers in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain accurate database records of approaches and risks accepted.
  • Research, develop and report on new areas of profitable growth.
  • Produce reports of various formats for reporting purposes as required. - Develop and Maintain relationships with clients and brokers.
  • Develops his/her technical knowledge of sectors and sub-sectors.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive underwriting experience in insurance/reinsurance with strong knowledge in the international space.
  • Proven underwriting skills for insurance program of large corporates (wordings, quotations).
  • Effective knowledge of London broking community on the international Casualty space
  • Organised and able to prioritise under pressure.
  • Ability to evaluate, condense and summarise key information.
  • Confidence to develop and maintain a network of brokers and clients.
  • An enquiring mindset with the ability to work independently as a motivated and pro-active self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
