Venues & Events Sales ManagerInterim Roleup to 5 months - possibly leading to a permanent positionup to £47K pro rataThe role: To effectively manage the day to day operation of the Venues & Events Sales Office.My client, based in central Bristol is looking for an exeperienced Senior Manager to oversee a small team of sales executives and administrators at this multifaceted site in Bristol.Responsible for commercial groups and events booked by the Venues & Events Office, which includes sales strategy, financial management, planning, income forecasting and all marketing and communications for the Office.To take full responsibility for the operational management of the office and its events and for the safe, effective and efficient delivery of all events and for managing and developing a team of high performing professionals who deliver events across the business.To be financially astute and ensure the cost and delivery of an event is monitored in order to achieve proposed budgets, maximise profits and deliver consistency of standards.To take fullownership of the management of the overall operational, budgetary and financial responsibilities related to the day to day activities of the Department.Produce management information on both a monthly and as required basis with an analysis of income and expenditure alongside forecasting as required i.e. forecasting the end of year budget, enquiry and sales management reports and reports on live bookings.To undertake regular benchmarking and pricing reviews to ensure the Venues & Events Office products are priced to be profitable and competitive. Following this, recommendations are to be made to the Head of Venues & Events for any changes to pricing and services structure.Skills:
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • A visible manager with good organisation skills.
  • Facilitative, to be able to work across functional and stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to maintain strong team spirit, including influencing and negotiating where required.
