of business performance and financial excellence by accommodating multi-entity, multi-book, multi-currency requirements for global organizations, supporting alternate chart of accounts, and global tax framework.About the RoleWe’re seeking a Product Manager with a solid understanding of Accounting, Tax and Financial Reporting.When you join Workday as a Financials Product Manager you will:
- Lead product discovery and delivery to help achieve exceptional product outcomes for our customers
- Define and execute the Product roadmap aligned with our overall Financials strategy
- Own the functional application design within your domain
- Apply your combined functional and systems knowledge to analyze customer business processes, implementing required localization requirements
- Collaborate internally with the engineering and QA teams to transform customer pain points into functional specifications and storyboarding
- Build next-generation business applications in a continuous delivery cycle, acting as the voice of the customer and the product management team to ensure product and feature delivery within an Agile environment.
- Develop presentations, mock-ups, flowcharts, and product demonstrations to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.
- Point of contact for internal teams such as consultants, production support, training, documentation and sales. Teamwork and collaboration is the key to success
- 3+ years of experience as a product manager, enterprise financials systems manager, finance professional, functional consultant or Indirect Tax Enterprise product specialist
- 2+ years experience collaborating closely with developers or technical teams to ensure the customers’ requirements translate into the right end-product
- A solid understanding of financial accounting or Tax either as a subject matter expert, accountant, or product manager
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams, across multiple time zones & countries
- Experience articulating product requirements, break down features and, prioritize backlogs
- Passion and ideas for how to build better financial enterprise business applications
- Minimum 2 years experience across AP, AR, GL, Tax or Record to Report as part of a corporate finance or accounting team, or certifications such as a CIMA (Certified Management Accountant), ACA (Chartered Accountant) or ACCA (Certified Accountant)
- Excellent listening skills to actively understand others’ points of view
- Ability to build wireframes, mock-ups, or other visualizations to help bring a concept to life and explain the opportunity and solution to your audience
- Demonstrated ability to be the voice of the customer for multiple teams and projects
- A fast learner, meticulous, decisive, who also enjoys a fast-paced work environment
