The Registered Manager would join an existing full team, which includes a deputy manager and three senior support workers.The home is registered with Ofsted to provide care and accommodation for two young people, who may have emotional and behavioural needs and/or learning disability needs.The Registered Manager would be required to manage a home providing the highest quality of therapeutic care.The Registered Manager would be required to register with Ofsted within the first 3 months of coming into the roleRequirements for this role:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working within a similar environment at a management level.
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples workforce.
- Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification).
- Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as the Children Act 1989, the Children's home regulations (2015) and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Previous experience of supporting individuals with autism.
- Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic leader.
- A strong people manager with a hands-on approach.
- Experience of budgets and financial management.
- Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
- You will be required to register with Ofsted in the first three months of your appointment.
- You will be accountable for delivering high quality care within the home, ensuring the care and progress children make is outstanding.
- You will be responsible for the delivery of quality care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day to day management matters.
- Leading your team along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child focused on obtaining the best outcomes.
- You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.
- Responsible for mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focused training to QCF level 3, performance reviews and appraisals
- Service development, budget and financial performance of the home.
- The protection, safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our children and young people.
