An opportunity has arisen to join Tower Hamlets and the City of London Youth Justice Service as a Youth Justice Case Prevention Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract/secondment basis.We are seeking Case Prevention Officers who have excellent skills in engaging and developing positive trusting relationships with children and their families from diverse backgrounds. The relationships built with children and their families are pivotal to all aspects of youth justice practice.As a Case Prevention Officer, you will be allocated children aged 10-17 years old who have been referred to the youth justice service by the Police, Court for consideration of an out-of-court disposal or via our prevention offers. You will undertake high quality assessments and devise individualised intervention plans tailored to children’s needs which have a positive impact upon children’s desistance from offending, safety and protection of the public. You will have an unwavering commitment to delivering the best outcomes for Tower Hamlets & the City of London children.The youth justice service is committed to ‘child first’ principles and approach for which collaboration with children, families and multi-agency partners is at the heart of everything we do.
