Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Project Steering Group, you will:
- Ensure the project phases for initiation, planning, execution, control & monitoring and closure deliverables are defined, delivered and approved
- Prepare and implement a Project Plan which defines the project scope, resources, work breakdown structure, milestones, critical path settings timelines, and budgeting is approved by the Project Steering Group
- Ensuring adherence to specified design, construction and commissioning best practices, specifications and standards are applied to the Design and Build
- Manage a team of Project Support Staff, Site Managers & Contractors
- Prepare and implement a Contracting Management Plan detailing the deliverables and benefits that will be realised by the contract. Provide the definition of what is and out in the contract scope. Inclusion of the payment terms and conditions including specific specification details related to the supplier scope of supply for Project Steering Committee approval
- Work with the legal team to negotiate and finalise the construction contracts
- Working with the finance team, prepare and implement a Project Financial Management Plan which encompasses several key process; budget planning and allocation, which involves estimating costs setting a budget, including project cashflows and accounting for internal and external changes to be issued within the financial reporting weekly/monthly basis for approval
- Ensuring the legal and regulatory adherence in all phases of the project (HSE, EA etc)
- Ensuring that all the project phases adherence to the UK’s Health Safety Executive regulatory requirements including CDM, HAZOPS, HAZIDS and Written Schemes of Examination for projects
- Other duties as required
- NVQ 5, HNC/HND/Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
- Project Management Certificate
- HSE Certification in Managing Safely
- Five years of experience working on Anaerobic Digestion “Gas-to-Grid” Projects
- Strong Working Knowledge of MS Office Programs and Project Planning Software
- Excellent Communication and Interface Skills
- Must be willing to travel to the Project Site Locations in Southeast England.
