The Geomatics Project Manager/OLS will be part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team. You will:
- Function as Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery including bidding and proposal preparation, project setup, logistics, resource and technical planning and execution, billing and collections
- Provide project updates to Business Unit Directors and General Managers
- Undertake project management and professional oversight of cadastral surveys
- Supervise field crews in the field and remotely from office locations
- Supervise drafting staff and QA/QC staff in the creation of survey deliverables relating to engineering surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys
- Prepare survey reports, drafting and DTM processing reports, and control survey reports
- Sign cadastral survey plans and reports
- Engage directly with private and public sector clients, applicable government agencies, and other stakeholders to determine and fulfill project and client goals and requirements
- Be responsible for internal and external client relations and business development
- Work together with other TULLOCH business lines, including Planning and Engineering, to provide top level integrated services to our clients.
- Conduct ongoing business development in the form of high-quality and responsive work as well as proactive business development efforts to maintain and grow our client base.
- Cross-sell TULLOCH’s range of services in the energy sector.
You must be a Licenced Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS)
- You have 5+ years experience working in Geomatics project management or a related role
- You have 5+ years of professional cadastral surveying experience, preferably in the Energy market
- You have an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of state-of-the-art land surveying equipment and techniques
- You have an aptitude for business development and exercise independent judgment in alignment with business objectives
- You have experience with total station and GPS equipment
- You understand LIDAR data and collection methods
- You are proficient in CAD platforms and data processing software such as TBC
- You understand Ontario Legal Survey information, including legal survey plans, Block maps, Title Records, and associated documents
- You can prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
- You can travel for site inspections and fieldwork
- You have experience working effectively within cross-disciplinary teams
- You are able to travel and complete site inspections and fieldwork when necessary
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geomatics Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should have:
- High motivation with results-oriented focus
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to navigate confidential matters and manage sensitive data
- A high degree of initiative and resourceful mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
