OverviewWe invite you to join our supportive and dynamic team within Community and Allied Health, Yorke and Northern Local Health Network as an Allied Health Clinical Educator.The Allied Health Clinical Educator, will use their clinical expertise and significant experience, to coordinate student placements across all Allied Health disciplines employed in Yorke & Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN). These disciplines currently include Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy (PT), Social Work (SW), Speech Pathology (SP), Dietetics (DT) and Podiatry (POD) and they provide services in rural and remote settings within the YNLHN.The Allied Health Clinical Educator will lead the coordination and advancement of clinical education for students and supervisors across YNLHN, collaborating with university stakeholders and Rural Support Services (RSS) senior clinical educators. They will provide teaching support, quality evaluation, research facilitation, and consultancy services. As an Advanced Clinical Lead, they will promote positive learning environments and contribute to organisational objectives, including the implementation of the Student Cadetship Model.To find out the specifics, including the key selection criteria and special conditions, please go to the attached Job Pack.EligibilityAll applicants must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant allied health profession and be eligible for full membership of the relevant Professional Association. For those disciplines requiring Registration, all requirements must be fulfilled to achieve and maintain current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA). For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional associations' accredited continuous professional development program.A higher qualification in a relevant area such as health service management, professional specialisation / clinical education will be highly regarded.LocationThe Yorke and Northern Local Health Network encompasses the Yorke Peninsula, significant areas of the Mid North and Spencer Gulf, Southern Flinders Ranges and the Clare Valley. Its major urban centres are Port Pirie, Clare, Burra, Peterborough, Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo.Port Pirie Regional Health Service is the largest hospital in the region, providing emergency, acute inpatient, specialist surgical, maternal, neonatal, renal dialysis, outpatient and community health services.A chemotherapy unit delivers medium-risk cytotoxic treatments. Clare Hospital and Health Services and Northern Yorke Peninsula Health Service (Wallaroo) are medium sized sites which support the region by providing emergency, acute inpatient care, surgical, maternal and neonatal, low-risk chemotherapy, outpatient and community health services.Clare and Port Pirie also provide residential aged care and Wallaroo has recently commissioned a rehabilitation service.View the below videos for more information about working for Yorke and Northern Local Health NetworkIncentives and SupportThe successful candidate will have the benefit of the following (subject to availability and eligibility):
