Now you can learn by being part of the Finance team supporting these operations.North America Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Sort Centers (NASC) are looking for a Finance Manager to help with the controllership of our multibillion-dollar assets. AMZL is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages to households and businesses across the planet. Part of "Middle Mile", NASC is a segment of the Amazon owned and operated shipping network that includes hundreds of warehouses and thousands of vans, long-haul trucks and aircraft. Every day several million packages from multiple fulfillment centers across the US and Canada arrive in one of the ~100 sort centers where they are sorted for delivery, which improves truck utilization and reduces transportation costs.The Finance Manager will support our Global Controls, Compliance, and Risk Management team based in Seattle or Nashville. You will be pivotal to the team's success, as you partner to build and create global Controls frameworks for AMZL and NASC operations. This role will partner with multiple stakeholders within both, finance and the business teams, to provide Controls guidance and Compliance insights to Worldwide operations. - A successful candidate effectively influences business partners, provides sound and thoughtful recommendations, and manages competing priorities in a quickly changing environment. The candidate should demonstrate amazing analytical skills, ability to work with ambiguity, and strong verbal and written communication skills as direct interaction with worldwide operations leadership is common.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reviews of the fixed asset ledger to check for completeness of data, correct entries, etc. and perform corrective actions whenever necessary.
- Uses solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact.
- Collects and analyzes quantitative data to develop relevant reports that drive cost reductions.
- Identifies opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improves, scales, or simplifies finance tools across teams and organizations.
- Design and build processes that improve the level of automation and scalability of the aforementioned activities that can be replicated.A day in the life

This role will support Controls lead for AMZL and NASC Capex, supporting global Launch and Engineering teams. This role will help to A) influence and shape global control mechanisms and B) partner with execution teams on Controls insights.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USABASIC QUALIFICATIONS- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
