Beaumont People are thrilled to be partnering with a renowned CBD-based University in supporting their search for an Engagement Manager. This role will operate within the Research Office (Office of the DVC) and is an integral position designed to engage internal stakeholders in utilising a new resource supporting the Research Strategy.
  • 7-month temporary opportunity, likelihood of becoming permanent

The role
Reporting directly to the Deputy Director, Research Office, this position offers a unique opportunity to increase the awareness of a digital and physical platform. Launched in 2019 to support the Research Strategy and Excellence in Research Support initiative, this platform is available to the entire research community.We are looking for an Engagement Manager with a background in Communications and Marketing, to spearhead the awareness and usage of this platform to support research practices, projects and collaborations.The ideation behind this platform is that research support must be easy to find, access and use, and boasts a 40-seat event space and collaboration studio for virtual meetings and conferences.About you
You are a collaborative and self-directed professional with a Communications, Projects or Marketing background, ideally with a Higher Education or Government background, who enjoys engaging internal stakeholders and advocating for the benefits of new platforms and infrastructure in improving daily operations.You will be confident in understanding the value of this platform and highlighting its usability, increasing engagement and interaction with the resource.Skills & Experience:
  • Background in Communications, Marketing or Projects within (ideally) Higher Education or Government.
  • Excellent project management skills and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and managing digital content.
  • Strong event management and logistical coordination skills.
