GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant educational setting in Sheffield. This role involves providing invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they could thrive academically and personally.About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support plans for students. You will provide individual and small group support, assisting students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs).
- Support students in accessing learning resources and completing tasks.
- Promote inclusive practices and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or support capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
