This is an opportunity to drive meaningful change for the business and develop Flo's SEO as a revenue-generating channel.This role requires a person with excellent communication and executive presence skills. The SEO team is based in Marketing and needs to effectively work with other departments to deliver, especially Engineering (MarTech, Analytics), Product (Content, Design, User Research), Legal, and Medical.
You'll mentor and lead a two-person, experienced and high-performing team and report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.You should have extensive SEO experience with a proven ability to drive sustainable organic growth that brings revenue.Your ExperienceMust have:
  • 7+ years of SEO experience;
  • Proven track record of growing organic traffic and revenue contribution for an app or SaaS;
  • Experience in growing a website across multiple markets;
  • Excellent communication and executive presence skills, to effectively work with multiple departments and deliver;
  • Leadership experience, driving excellence, and nurturing each individual;
  • Experience with digital PR and other backlink-generating initiatives;
  • Analytical skills and strategic thinking combined with a hands-on attitude;
  • Ability to prioritize based on business goals;
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in the Health & Fitness Category;
  • Experience working at startups/scaleups and marketing agencies;
  • Experience collaborating with paid marketing teams to improve conversion funnel.
What you'll be doingYou'll be responsible for:
  • Developing Flo's SEO strategy (including technical, off-site, and on-site/content);
  • Growing organic traffic and SEO's revenue contribution to the business;
  • Identifying and maximizing SEO opportunities, both long and short-term;
  • Guiding and empowering the SEO team through mentorship, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Defining objectives and key results, in line with Flo's business goals, with regular reviews to ensure the right goals are pursued;
  • Monitoring and analyzing SEO performance, and drawing conclusions to empower future work;
  • Addressing technical SEO challenges, and supporting in maintaining efficient website health, through collaboration with Engineering;
  • Improving Flo's authority through off-site initiatives, in line with Google's guidelines, through collaboration with PR, Medical and Legal teams;
  • Ensuring a seamless user journey on the website, through collaboration with Product and Engineering teams;
  • Creating and improving processes across diverse teams, to effectively deliver results;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest SEO news, trends, methodologies and case studies to empower SEO performance and test innovative approaches;
  • Driving SEO awareness and impact across Flo, sharing recommendations and effectiveness of past work;
  • Regularly presenting to key stakeholders with actionable insights for improvement.
