The perfect opportunity for a self-motivated and dedicated Cluster Accounts Assistant with a passion for hotels is now available.The role of an Cluster Accounts Assistant represents a fantastic opportunity for an organised professional to join our friendly team. As our Cluster Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day operation of the Accounting office.Working in this role, you would be responsible for the department administration, as well as reconciliation of daily cash lodgements, control of requests for payment and bank transfers, preparation of sales reports and support with month end stocktaking.SPECIFIC DUTIESo To provide analysis and support to all hotel functions.o To count the cash daily and prepare daily lodgements.o To deal with all incoming invoices, process cheque requests and employee expenses claims.o To liaise with group office in the set up of new supplier accounts.o To ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and appropriately approved.o To provide weekly reports monitoring the food margins and weekly purchases for all the Irish properties.o To assist with month end processes including profit and loss reviews, posting journals, and reconciling balance sheets for all Irish properties.o To assist the cost controller with the ordering and receipting process.o To ensure that the process of accruing for commissions is robust, and that commissions invoices are processed in a timely manner.o To participate in the annual budgeting process for all Dublin properties.o To provide assistance to the cost controller to organise and co-ordinate hotel stock takes.o To assist the cost controller in the calculation of month end stock totals, and the review of variances.o To monitor and track stock level trends reporting any loss or deficiencies immediately to management.o To have an awareness of current markets and prices and to always communicate effectively with the group procurement department in any dealings with approved suppliers.o To produce ad hoc analysis or reports where required.o To handle any guest/supplier complaints in a professional and prompt manner.o To provide finance support for weekend business events in all Dublin properties as required.o To provide holiday cover for the accounts assistants based in other properties.o To perform any other duty as directed by the manager/team leader.The perks of working at The Westbury Hotel:
